It most commonly starts on the upper and inner side of the thigh. The disease may cause itching, redness, scaling, bad odor or may progress without any complaint. If left untreated, the disease may spread to the lower part of the navel, anus, and lateral sides of the buttocks. If the disease lasts for a long time, thickening of the skin due to itching and brown-black discoloration can be seen.

How is Inguinal Fungus Treated?

Treatment is planned according to the severity and prevalence of the disease. Fungal creams, oral fungicides, antifungal shampoos for hygiene purposes are used in the treatment. Symptoms of the disease may heal without leaving a trace or a slight brown spot may remain.
